Clinical Evidence

Here you will find all of the support evidence that we have found. This information has influenced our decisions, our approach, and our mission with RVs for PTSD.

The Importance of Stable Housing:

Research consistently shows that stable housing is a critical factor in improving health outcomes for individuals with PTSD. A study published in the American Journal of Public Health highlights that housing stability significantly reduces PTSD symptoms and improves overall mental health among veterans (Tsai & Rosenheck, 2015).

Holistic Approaches to PTSD Treatment:

Holistic therapies, including red light therapy and sound therapy, have shown promising results in managing PTSD symptoms. A review in the Journal of Clinical Psychology found that integrative therapies, such as light and sound therapies, can help regulate mood, improve sleep, and reduce anxiety and depression symptoms (Zoladz et al., 2012).

Nutrient-Dense Diets and Mental Health:

A nutrient-dense diet is crucial for mental health and can significantly impact the well-being of individuals with PTSD. The journal Nutritional Neuroscience emphasizes the role of vitamins and minerals in brain health and their potential in alleviating symptoms of PTSD (Rucklidge et al., 2013). Ensuring access to high-quality, nutrient-dense food can support the physical and mental recovery of PTSD sufferers.

Community and Social Support:

The Surgeon General's report on Isolation and Loneliness underscores the importance of social connections in mental health recovery. Community support networks play a vital role in providing emotional stability and practical assistance, which are essential for individuals with PTSD (Murthy, 2020) .

Therapeutic Environments:

Creating a therapeutic environment, as our RVs are designed to do, can enhance the recovery process. Incorporating elements like hydroponic gardens and red light therapy aligns with evidence-based practices that promote calmness, reduce stress, and foster a sense of safety (Ulrich, 1984) .

By integrating these clinical insights into our RVs for PTSD initiative, United Serendipity aims to provide comprehensive support that addresses the multifaceted needs of veterans and families affected by PTSD. Our approach is grounded in research and committed to fostering long-term healing and well-being.
